Frequently Asked Questions

Caring for your Piece

All of the pottery is made to withstand the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. However handwashing is always the safest way to ensure the longest lifespan for your pieces. This excludes any products with a dice, crystal, or gold.

How is it Made?

Each piece is handmade from start to finish in my studio at home. They all start out on the pottery wheel and from there they get handles, altered, spouts, or knobs. The pots get fired for the first time in the kiln and then I get to work on planning designs and glazes. Hand painting each layer of glaze is the next step of the process before they get another round in the kiln. From there all the product gets unloaded, sanded, photographed, and listed here!

Who Makes It?

Hi! I'm Olivia Marie Goll the owner and maker of Bird Marie's Pottery. Everyone has always called me Bird as a nickname and when I opened my business it seemed like the perfect fit! I make all the work from start to finish and you can catch me at the booth at almost all my shows. As for the behind the scenes Austin Ferrara helps with photography, website listings, and all other technical matters.

Where is Your Next Show?

The first show of the year will be the Scarborough Renaissance Festival from the first weekend of April until the end of May in Waxahachie, TX. My next show after is the Louisiana Renaissance Festival in Hammond, LA from the first weekend in November until the second weekend in December. I will also post more frequently about shows on Instagram if you would like to follow me there.

Do You Accept Wholesale or Custom Orders?

For all inquires for wholesale orders please reach through the contact page and we can discuss specifics from there. If you are interested in a custom order feel free to send me a message through the contact section of my website. I will review it and get back to you on whether it is a project I can take on at the time.

Return/ Exchange

I do my best to accurately show each piece however I understand it's not the same as seeing it in person. All the pots are photographed in direct sunlight without any filters. That being said I absolutely don't want you to be unhappy with your purchase or keep a piece you don't want. If you would like to initiate a return, then send me a message within the first seven days of receiving the piece and we can start the process. You will have to provide return shipping and insurance for the package will have to be purchased. The pot will have to be returned in the original condition to receive the full refund for the cost of the item. The returned item needs to be mailed out within seven days of the start of the return process. As for exchanges every piece is a one of a kind. However, if you are interested in a completely different piece I am totally okay with that. All details on exchanges can be discussed through messaging me. If you have any further questions please feel free to reach out.
